About This Event

The Uptime Institute Symposium, one of the most influential events on the IT industry and data center operator calendar, is the only event focused entirely on data center efficiency and green enterprise IT. The Symposium attracts stakeholders in enterprise IT, finance, executive management, data center facilities, and corporate real estate to deal with the critical issues surrounding enterprise computing, resource and energy efficiency, availability and productivity.

This year's event (Hilton New York, May 17-19, 2010) will feature scores of presentations, roundtables, and panel discussions, as well as opportunities to book time with peers, leading analysts and consultants. There will also be an exhibition hall with hundreds of products aimed at improving energy and resource efficiency in the data center and beyond.

In 2010, the Symposium will focus on three main themes:

  • Available IT - How to ensure that initiatives to improve energy efficiency do not compromise business objectives and uptime.
  • Scalable IT - How to reconcile growing and often volatile demand for IT with the need to optimize resource use.
  • Sustainable IT - How to use IT and best practices to reduce waste of energy, water, and other resources, and hold down carbon emissions.

The Uptime Institute Symposium series is known for tackling controversial but critical subjects. Uptime Institute's Symposium 2010 is the green enterprise IT event for industry data center leaders concerned with energy efficiency.
