About This Event

The Regional Session for Formulating Principles and Policies of Education for the Islamic World (SIPE 2011, 11-12 May), with the website address www.sipe2010.ir. This conference will be held by Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in collaboration with The Ministry of Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Philosophy of Education Society of Iran (PESI). The aim of the conference is to gather scholars of Islamic philosophy of education together in order to discuss and formulate principles and policies for the formal and non-formal education in the Islamic world in confrontation with the contemporary challenges. This conference can and would be followed by a series of conferences aiming at bringing the suggested principles and policies to the realm of educational practice in the Islamic World.

Conference Goals :
-To bring about convergence among Islamic countries of the region for the improvement and progress of education
-To clarify basic concept of education in the Islamic view, with emphasis on conditions and implications of the present age
-To analyze and tackle challenges of education in Islamic countries, with emphasis on formal and general education
