Strengthening Evidence-Based Policy
About This Event
Translating evidence into outcomes
Governments are trying to improve outcomes for people. However, problems are complex and finding the right solutions can be challenging.
Evidence is the key to improving outcomes. We need evidence to define the problem, we need evidence to find the solution and we also need evidence about the outcomes.
However, while evidence is vital, evidence-based policy making is not something we do as well as we should.
This conference will help policy practitioners improve their skills in this area.
It will cover:
Examples of best practice in evidence based policy making
Policy failures and what they can teach us about evidence-based policy
Ensuring evidence leads to better outcomes
Making the most of evaluation evidence
Using evidence to improve implementation
Overcoming challenges associated with evidence based policy making
