The disparity between the number of women in the public sector and
the number of female leaders in the public sector is an alarming
statistic and one that should be of deep concern to men and women alike.
The ingrained organisational barriers that women are faced with
seriously limit their ability for progression. Without providing equal
opportunities for men and women across the APS we cannot ensure
we are getting the best leadership available.
