Presented by Revera © and the Alzheimer’s Society London and Middlesex, this conference for caregivers and allied health professionals will provide an important spotlight on positive and proactive approaches in the care of a person with dementia. The conference brings together a group of various interdisciplinary professionals to share practical techniques and vital information that will benefit you in your role as a care provider.
The Navigating the Road Ahead conference has a theme of “Staying Safe, Staying Engaged” and features a morning keynote speech by Teepa Snow, who will present her unique 'Positive Approach to Care'. The afternoon will feature Sgt. Jamie Stirling SAR Provincial Coordinator, O.P.P., giving a Search and Rescue perspective on the 'whys' of wandering and its prevention. His presentationwill provide information insight for anyone caring for a person who is a threat to wander. The conference will conclude with a panel discussion with various experts with tips and info on safety and engagement. Registration opens at 7:45 till 8:30.
