About This Event
The Festival of Biologics San Diego was born out of our successful European event, the Festival Of Biologics Basel, which consists of 5 world leading events: The European Antibody Congress, the World Immunotherapy Congress, Clinical Trials 2018, The World Biosimilar Congress and HPAPI World Congress. Having run very successfully in Basel, Switzerland for the past three years, and across other European countries for the past 13 years, we thought it was time to bring our event across the pond to the US, where biologics research and development is fast growing and innovative.
Biologics are transforming the lives of patients across the globe, and are poised to become even more important in upcoming years. In 2013 it was estimated that biologics provided close to 22% of global pharmaceutical sales, with the expectation for it to rise to 32% in 2023 (The Economist, 2013). Biologic sales are dominated by the US, with a market share of 43%. With massive biologic players such as AbbVie, Amgen and Genentech based in the US, and with over 15,000 individuals working within the biologics sphere in San Diego, the Festival of Biologics San Diego will have great global and local reach.
With high level, global speakers from big pharma, biotech, academia and industry, the Festival of Biologics San Diego will address the strategic and commercial aspects of discovering, developing, and bringing new biologics to patients. We bring you two days packed full of top level science, data and case studies, workshops, roundtables and networking opportunities. With 200+ speakers, 80 sponsors and exhibitors and hundreds of companies in attendance, this is not an event to be missed.
