About This Event
Welcome to the 8th Asian-Pacific Society of Atherosclerosis and Vascular Diseases (APSAVD) . This important international scientific event will be held on October 20-22, 2012 in Phuket, Thailand.
Atherosclerosis affects various regions of the circulation resulting in many distinct clinical manifestations. It remains the major cause of death and disabilities in both developed and developing countries. The 8th APSAVD meeting aims to enhance global and regional collaboration among scientists and health care providers in the area of atherosclerosis and vascular diseases. The meeting also promotes the exchange of knowledge, encourages new research and interdisciplinary approaches.
Phuket is the largest island but the second smallest province of Thailand. It is located in the west coast of the southern part of the country in the Andaman Sea. This island is the world-famous destination for international and local tourists with numerous places of attraction and superb cuisine.
Apart from the scientific sessions, the delegates of the meeting will have a chance to experience the well-known Thai hospitalities and have time to visit different interesting regions of the country.
