This conference was planned to be a meeting of different areas in mathematics, hoping to promote exchange of ideas within researchers at different stages of their careers and PhD students. It is called "Winter Meeting in Lisbon-Mathematics and Applications" and is organized by Maria Manuel Torres and Nicolas Van Goethem (both members of the Maths Department of the Faculty of Sciences of University of Lisbon). We will have people from logic, differential geometry, analysis, combinatorics, algebra, operational research and matrix theory.
