Over the past decade, the Kingdom of Morocco has experienced exceptional growth in most sectors. When it was formulated in 2005, the country's proactive strategy, called the "Emergence Plan", aimed to revitalize the Moroccan economy on the basis of two essential pillars. The first corresponds to the reorganization and consolidation of the existing industrial fabric; the second alternatively proposes concentrating on other strategic areas (aeronautics, telecom, industrial development of local products, agriculture and seafood, etc).

Indeed, we believe that the emergence plan cannot succeed without the improvement and restructuring of national infrastructures. We are talking here about buildings, roads and related areas such as water and the environment.

In addition, energy and ecological constraints are also strategic objectives at the global level. Today, the use of modern physics in scientific and technical research leads to favoring the eco-design of buildings and the rational exploitation of natural resources.

In this context, the Private University of Fez, in collaboration with the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah University of Fez and the Moulay Ismail University of Meknes are organizing the second edition of the International Congress "Buildings and Sustainable Cities" to discuss national progress and international in this field.

The "Sustainable Buildings and Cities" congress will be an opportunity for exchanges between different academic and professional actors. It will focus on scientific and technical development in this field, as well as the regulatory aspects necessary for the implementation and application of good practices on an industrial scale.
