Geothermal heating, cooling and power generation share significant overlap with the petroleum industry and can provide low-carbon energy options, but geothermal has not grown in line with other renewables. This workshop brings together subject matter experts from the geothermal and oil and gas industries, industry leaders, academia, policy makers, entrepreneurs and investors to examine the potential of geothermal energy in a lower-emission world and discuss the key technical and non-technical elements that are needed to expand scalability for low emission geo-energy direct-use and power.
