Forty years have passed from the appearance of the first paper on Stochastic Resonance. Since then, thousands of papers (WOS: 6,968 records, Google Scholar: approx. 40,500 results) have been published on this topic and Stochastic Resonance is nowadays a popular science paradigm and a widespread research subject. SR40 aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Noise and Fluctuations, providing a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical applications.
