Conference Description:

In August 2020, Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakl11 (TPAO) announced the discovery of a colossal natural gas field in the ultra-deep waters of the Western Black Sea. TPAO — which has been engaged in ultra-deep water exploration in recent years — reaped the rewards of its efforts. This find has been recorded as the largest ever in both the history of Turkish exploration and in the entire history of Black Sea exploration. Such a discovery in the ultra-deep waters of the Black Sea has excited not only those working in the area for many years, but also parties on global scale. This discovery has also paved the way for a new era in the area in which exploration activities are set to increase.

In this two-day congress organized jointly by the Turkish Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists, geoscientists will share their latest technical experiences, and keynote speakers among the most renowned figures in the world of geosciences will share their vast knowledge and experiences limited not only to the Black Sea.
