The Tavistock festival - a Free West London festival celebrating: the spoken word, music, dance and film.

In 2004, deep in the heart of North Kensington, a few residents and traders decided to get together and build a platform for local talent to present their work to the rest of London. Year by year their small event grew; bands, dancers short film makers emerged from behind closed doors and got involved. Since then, The Tavistock Festival has hosted local and national acoustic musicians, London Dj's with partners like Portobello Dance, Portobello Radio and the Portobello Film Festival all heading the billing. In 2019 we are working with schools, emerging and established talent, all bringing the best of contemporary culture to Portobello road for our days extravaganza.
