1st IRF Regional Conference & Exhibition for Road Safety
“The Road to Zero”

While efforts to improve road safety in Asia are finally starting to make headway, the challenge to reduce fatalities remains immense. According to the Asian Development Bank, 60% of the annual 1.2 million fatal traffic injuries take place on Asia’s road network. It is an epidemic of historic scale. Many of the contributing factors to this epidemic such as deficient infrastructure, outdated standards, and poor enforcement can and should be addressed if the proper training, knowledge, and resources are made available.

Organized by the International Road Federation, the “IRF Regional Conference & Exhibition for Road Safety” is a unique opportunity for stakeholders to address the road safety problem on a regional and forward-looking basis. The conference will discuss how countries in the region can adopt the “Safe System Approach” and it will also address major engineering and enforcement measures that can have an immediate effect on eliminating needless deaths. Furthermore, and perhaps most importantly, the conference will focus on sustainable funding solutions for Road Safety.
