Scope and Importance: Petrochemical engineering is a specialized branch of Chemical Engineering which deals with the operations of refining and petrochemical technology. The term petrochemical refers to the organic chemicals which are obtained directly or indirectly from crude petroleum. It is the task of the petrochemical engineers to discover natural sources of oil, extract them from the earth, refine them and make it usable. Petroleum engineering is a field of engineering concerned with the activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas. Exploration and Production are deemed to fall within the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. Petroleum geology and geophysics focus on provision of a static description of the hydrocarbon reservoir rock, while petroleum engineering focuses on estimation of the recoverable volume of this resource using a detailed understanding of the physical behaviour of oil, water and gas within porous rock at very high pressure.
The conference is organized with the theme “Exploring Innovations and Technologies in Petroleum and Refinery Industries”. Our aim is to aggregate Petroleum, Oil and Gas community and to create a platform for exchange of information on technological advances, new scientific achievements and the effectiveness of various regulatory programs towards petroleum industries. The conference provides a global technical forum for reporting and learning about the latest research and development, as well as for launching new applications and technologies.
