Why Dubai, UAE?
Dubai is a destination that blends advanced culture with history, enterprise with world-class education and experience. It is found on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the nation. Dubai was positioned 44th among the world's best budgetary cities and the world's 27th wealthiest city in 2012. It is also a worldwide monetary center and has been positioned 37th within the best 50 worldwide financial cities and 1st within the Middle East. In 2025, Dubai will have climbed to 23rd place in common in the List. Open hospitals in Dubai were first built in the late 1950s and kept on develop with open wellbeing activities. Out of 28 clinics in Dubai, 6 are open and 22 are private, with 3 more major clinics planned to be built by 2025. Dubai emerged as a global city and business hub of the Middle East. It is also one of the most expensive cities in the world. With all its treasure and pleasure Dubai also concentrates more on the research work. As per the statistics the people in Dubai suffer from cancer and it is one of reasons for the increase in death rate. There are also associations which work on managing the healthcare of the children and adults from any metabolic disorders. Dubai will be a phenomenal destination to conduct LIVER 2018 and to bring out the rays of hope in treating Liver Cancer and Metabolic Disorders globally.
Scientific Sessions
Track 1. Metabolic Diseases and Liver Cancer
Metabolic disease normally occurs in human body due to the alteration in the biochemical pathways and this is normally because of an autosomal recessive gene. This disruption in the normal metabolism leads to weight loss, jaundice, injury and dullness which finally indicates the presence of diseases like Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity, Gaucher’ s disease in the individual. In some cases irregular metabolic mechanism leads to liver cancer with cirrhosis being its backbone causative factor. Liver cancer is the sixth leading cancer worldwide with increasing mortality rate year by year.
Track 2. Mechanism of Development and Progression
Metabolic disorders can either be innate or acute depending on the lifestyle of the person or by his/her genetic makeup. Liver cancer has four stages and at most cases they are identified at the final stage which is chronic and the result is death. The tumor initially develops at a particular region and then the tumor cells starts spreading through the blood and even forms tumor near liver which leads to malfunctioning of entire digestive system.
Track 3. Inflammation, Epidemiology and Immunology
Inflammation in Hepatocellular carcinoma is hepatic injury and concurrent regeneration leading to tissue to rupture and damage. The tumor cells once settled down will start invading and migrates towards every end of the liver leading to apoptosis of the tissue. Cytokines and Chemokines play an important role in the mechanism of inflammation. According to global reports 42,200 people(30,610 Men, 11610 Women)are diagnosed and 30,200 people (20450 Men, 9660 Women) will die due to liver cancer.
Track 4.Clinical Hepatocellular Carcinoma
The molecular targets of interest have expanded from angiogenesis to cancer cell-directed oncogenic signalling pathways for advanced HCC treatment .The feasibility of combining locoregional therapies and targeted agents, and the use of novel agents after curative treatments are currently under active investigation. Finally, the therapeutic strategy has shifted from monotherapy to combination targeted therapy.
Track 5.Genetics and Epigenetics Of Liver Cancer
Considering certain cases liver cancer occurs due to genetic inheritance. Due to recessive genes, the human body will not fight against the antigens as they are unable to recognise and produce antibodies against the antigens. Whole genome analysis technique is used to find the genomic aberrations; DNA hypo methylation promotes a diverse range of Liver cancers.
Track 6.Stem Cell Treatment
Stem cell treatment is the most noteworthy way to reduce the risk of Liver cancer. The self-renewal property of Bone marrow cells helps in differentiating normal adult stem cells into hepatocytes. This treatment can be done only when the metabolism is clearly understood. The treatment process involves the transplantation of Stem Cells and thereby monitoring the process with biomarkers which increases the efficacy of the Treatment. AFP-L3, Glypican-3, Cytokeratin 19 are notable biomarkers in Stem Cell Treatment of Liver Cancer.
Track 7.Artificial Intelligence in Treating Hepatocellular Carcinoma
The neural network (NN) or fuzzy neural network (FNN) are used to diagnosis disease which are a kind of multi-dimensional nonlinear function, some markers may contain un-useful information for disease diagnosis and it decreases the accuracy of disease diagnosis ,To get rid of those un useful substances, microarray is used to increase accuracy. The benefits of machine learning and enormous information has made a difference in bringing Artificial Intelligence to the bleeding edge of healthcare and life science and is set to alter how industry analyses and treats tumour infections .
Track 8.Drug Therapy and Development of Novel Drugs
According to Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Conserved domain Database(CDD), there a few characterized therapies for liver cancer like Radiation Therapy, Targeted Therapy, Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy. From researchers note it is reported that targeted therapy is a way better approach than standard chemotherapy. Sorafenib is one of the best Targeted drug that controls the growth of proteins stimulating cancer cells. Regorafenib is one of the additional dug in blocking the proteins helping the growth of tumour cells. Liver cancer Organoids are used in developing new drugs in treatment of liver cancer.
Track 9. Pediatric Metabolic Disorders
Metabolic disorders in children are more because of genetic inheritance. There are endless sorts of metabolic clutters more up to date that keep popping all over the globe with deadly complications. Common symptoms among all metabolic disorders are lethargy, abdominal pain, delay in development and weight loss. DNA testing and Genetic Counselling are done to identify and diagnose metabolic disorders.
Track 10. Diabetic Exposure and Liver Cancer
On basis with the statistical reports, it is framed that Type 2 Diabetes and liver Cancer goes hand in hand with the mechanism and complications. The risk of liver cancer is higher in people with Type 2 Diabetes than people with Type 1 Diabetes. An advance conceivable natural instrument for the affiliation between diabetes and liver cancer is that up to 80% of individuals with type 2 diabetes are thought to have non-alcoholic fatty liver illness which increments hazard of non-alcoholic steato-hepatitis, cirrhosis and consequent Hepatocellular Carcinoma(HCC).
Track 11. Metabolic Reactions and Nutrition
Nutrition is the amount of Carbohydrates, Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals and fat components that we intake regularly. There is an irregularity in the mechanism when there is lack or change in the composition of the nutrients. Hence Nutrition and Human Metabolism are directly proportional and when there is an alarming signal in the proportionality level it leads to nutritional deficiencies, abnormal chemical reactions and disease in organs involving the metabolism.
Track 12. Diabetes-A Common Entity
Diabetes is all approximately affront levels and sugar levels and what we put in our body. Type 2 Diabetes is the most common among the rest of the two types (Type 1 Diabetes, gestational Diabetes). The mechanism is all about the working of insulin in our body. Depositing insulin produced in our body will lead to health problems like Diabetes mellitus. A1C test, Fasting plasma glucose (FPG) test, Random plasma glucose (RPG) test, are the clinical tests done to analyse the presence of Glucose levels in human body. Regular testing and proper diet will automatically alter the maintenance of blood sugar level.
Track 13. Obesity and Metabolic Disorders
Overweight undermines the prosperity and individual fulfilment of a growing number of People. Hence national governments and the National Commission have distributed liberal advantages for find how to switch this example. Disregarding the way that we know a wonderful course of action about body weight control structures and that these are affected by genetic traits, the present rate in corpulence in every country is immensely influenced by way of life, dietary patterns and physical exercise.
Track 14 .Emerging Focus on Metabolic Disorders
Bioinformatics tool provide the basic capabilities to approach Metabolic Disorders in various dimensions. Bioinformatics strategies and devices are basic to analyse and translate information from microarrays. Thus, microarray investigation gives a phenomenal opportunity to encourage the understanding of the etiology and movement of liver cancer. Bariatric surgery which is an approaching remedy will also reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes which thereby prevents a person from any metabolic disorders and Liver Cancer.
Track 15. Next Generation Ideology towards Metabolic Disorders
Next Generation Techniques approaches with genomic, epigenomic and translational molecular layers for analysis. Next Generation Sequencing(NGS) advances guarantee a worldwide see on oncogenomics by encouraging integrator and proficient discovery of hereditary and epigenetic changes in cancer at a single-base determination. Ultrasonography, Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS), maternal blood sampling for fetal DNA, Pediatric Cataract Surgeries, Kovatchev's artificial pancreas are the most indispensable ideas that are being and soon will be an reasonable option in treating Metabolic diseases.
Track 16. Healthcare Management -An Alternative Remedy
As rightly the Proverb says “Health is Wealth’’, taking care of one’s is very important to live a disease free life which automatically gives us a wealthy life. But to consider only 10 countries in the world are considered to be healthiest countries. Even the resources are available at most places still only 10 countries have the healthiest people among 195 countries rest. Healthcare includes prevention, diagnosis, treatment of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments. For a healthy and wealthy life one can concentrate more on his/her health by feeding it with good thoughts, good food and exercises which relaxes one from stress and mental illness. Proper Diet and proper exercise paves way for a disease free life.
