Conference Description:

Special Session on Digitization Technology and Management - DiTeM 2019

4 - 5 May, 2019 - Heraklion, Crete, Greece

Within the 14th International Conference on Evaluation of Novel Approaches to Software Engineering - ENASE 2019

SCOPE

The Special Session on Digitization Technology and Management brings together academics, researchers, and practitioners to address fundamental and practical aspects of digitization technologies, development and operation - in a close relationship to novel approaches for software engineering, software architecture and related management for service computing and the evolution of IT. The focused digital transformation of services with associated digital products and processes is strong correlated with current advances and the evolution of IT. Service computing unifies current aspects of cloud computing, mobile computing, big data, and social computing by using a digital architectural approach, which has its roots in adaptive software architecture and enterprise architecture. Service computing is a key paradigm to support the digital transformation by current and next challenging research on service design, service composition, Internet of Things, and crowd-based reputation and collaboration processes.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Digitization Architecture
Digitization Technologies
Architectural Patterns for Digitization
Internet of Things
Microservices
Service Design
Service Composition
Adaptive Software Engineering and Architecture
Architectural Metamodels and Ontologies
Cloud Computing
Big Data and Analytics
Collaborative Software Engineering
Innovation Management and Design Thinking
Decision Support Processes and Frameworks
Digital Strategy and Governance
Self-optimizing and Resilient Systems
Digital Platforms and Ecosystems

IMPORTANT DATES
Paper Submission: February 28, 2019
Authors Notification: March 15, 2019
Camera Ready and Registration: March 25, 2019

MISSION AND MOTIVATION

The mission of ENASE (Evaluation of Novel Approaches to Software Engineering) is to be a prime international forum to discuss and publish research findings and IT industry experiences with relation to novel approaches to software engineering. The conference acknowledges evolution in systems and software thinking due to contemporary shifts of computing paradigm to e-services, cloud computing, mobile connectivity, business processes, and societal participation. By publishing the latest research on novel approaches to software engineering and by evaluating them against systems and software quality criteria, ENASE conferences advance knowledge and research in software engineering, including and emphasizing service-oriented, business-process driven, and ubiquitous mobile computing. ENASE aims at identifying most hopeful trends and proposing new directions for consideration by researchers and practitioners involved in large-scale systems and software development, integration, deployment, delivery, maintenance and evolution.
