Designed from the ground up to identify, cultivate and celebrate emerging artists and creative leaders from around the world, FUTURE RISING'S next stop is Hong Kong. Set to take place in a trendsetting hotel nestled in the heart of the city. The event is FREE to attend for all once signed up to guestlist, taking place Saturday July 21st which celebrates the partnership of W Hotel Worldwide and global streaming platform Mixcloud. The Hong Kong edition partners with renowned culture collective and club promoter YETI OUT, featuring one exceptional evening of music, art and talks to explore the local creative scene.Split in to two key parts, an inspirational, forward-thinking evening of talks and workshops of local innovators followed by a specifically curated late night party.
To start, a compelling panel discussion about Future Rising kicks the evening off, moving swiftly on to a key highlight. A 'Sounds of Hong Kong' Workshop & AV Showcase feat. Delf, a Hong Kong based beatmaker and DJ. Delf focuses on lo-fi beats that bridge the gap between trip-hop and trap. He'll take the audience through the music of Hong Kong, following with audio/visual showcase that incorporates VJ and MPC elements. Shortly followed by Silk Road Sounds who'll present the "Chunking & Mansion" EP release & listening session.
From 10PM the party kicks off at WOOBAR with Tedman Lee. He's quickly become one of the most sought after DJs in Hong Kong. Versatile in nature his sets blend various styles such as disco, jersey club, trap, bass, and chillwave. Followed by J Hoon, Yeti Soundsystem and Hong Kong legend MC Gold Mountain. Having been in Hong Kong's underground rap circuit for nearly a decade Gold Mountain is an artist that fuses Southern Rap style with local energy.
