Conference Description:

Founded in 2008 by a group of pioneering surgeons, ISHA through its annual meeting and dedicated funds for research, was the catalyst for the development of knowledge on non-arthritic hip pathologies and their arthroscopic treatment. ISHA has always pushed for the development of new technologies and practices for the best treatment of non-arthritic hip pathologies, as well as embracing open hip preservation surgery. The arthroscope and the development of imaging associated with anatomical, biomechanical and clinical research, made it possible to progress phenomenally rapidly in the discovery and management of unknown hip and periarticular pathologies.

The 10th ISHA annual meeting, held in the marvellous city of Melbourne, Australia, will review the last 10 years of the four key hip pathologies and their main structures in various concurrent and parallel sessions. The sessions can be followed in two ways: the first pathway allows delegates to attend sessions on the four main pathologies, from varying degrees of expertise ranging from beginner to intermediate or from experienced to expert hip surgeon. The other pathway involves focusing in depth on one particular pathology. Instructional Course Lectures will now become Interactive Course Lectures and delegates questions submitted during registration will be addressed. The interactivity will also take place during the virtual hip surgery training sessions available throughout the conference.

With the geographical proximity of Asia we will also devote half a day to an Asian Society meeting on Wednesday 3rd October 2018. Friday 5th October 2017 will also have a dedicated physiotherapist Program.
