ECMWF presents challenges aimed at improving how weather and climate data and related software are provided to user communities. The developments will help ECMWF to support national weather services.

ECMWF, the world's leading centre for global medium-range weather forecasts, is launching an online programme to develop innovative weather-related technologies.

Summer of Weather Code is open to all developers, startups, weather professionals and scientists who are interested in weather forecasts and the visualisation of weather-related data and who are keen to collaborate with world-class scientists.

Together, let's unleash the potential of ECMWF's open source software and its extensive data archive.
